GIFT OF TEARS

In many spiritual traditions. tears are gratuitously given by God, and allow us to experience conversion by passing from contrition (penthos) into enlightenment. The gift of tears brings healing from the harm caused by sin, and leads us from sorrow to joy.  These tears are seen not as a weakness, but as a powerful expression of repentance, vulnerability, and a deepening of faith. "The gift of tears" is a concept that encourages individuals to embrace their emotions and use tears as a tool for spiritual growth.​​
